If Higley was riding high fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Niwot on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Higley fell just short of the Legend Titans by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Alan Macias was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Higley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jet Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Ty Henze also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Higley's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Legend, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Higley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Wellington on the 22nd. As for Legend, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-0 defeat against Valley Christian on the 22nd.
