Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Dark Horses vs. St. Pauls Bulldogs

Clinton is 0-6 against St. Pauls since January of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Clinton Dark Horses will challenge the St. Pauls Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Clinton came up short against East Duplin and fell 49-38. The Dark Horses have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, St. Pauls scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 82-71 to Lakewood. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

St. Pauls' loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Clinton suffered a grim 61-36 defeat to St. Pauls when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Clinton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
