Soccer Game Preview: Hanford vs. Chiawana

Hanford is 0-10 against Chiawana since March of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Falcons will host the Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m.

Hanford is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Southridge who was credited with the win. The Suns got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Hanford's four.

Hanford will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Chiawana extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday. The Riverhawks' defense stepped up to hand Walla Walla a 3-0 shutout. Chiawana's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Chiawana's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five contests. As for Hanford, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
