Baseball Recap: Notre Dame (SO) Falls to Jserra Catholic in First Game of Season

Notre Dame (SO) unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 7-2 to the JSerra Catholic Lions on Tuesday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Notre Dame (SO) got a good showing from Patrick Arranaga, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Notre Dame (SO) saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dru Wilson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame (SO) will square off against Cypress at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for JSerra Catholic, they will take on Loyola at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
