Basketball Recap: Everett Willis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Indian Creek over Woodstock

Indian Creek has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodstock Blue Streaks on Saturday. The Timberwolves lost against the Blue Streaks in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 69-31 score last time.

Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Everett Willis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Willis has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Faustino Mora, who posted nine points.

Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Woodstock, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Indian Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against DePue at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Indian Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season. As for Woodstock, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-47 defeat against Richmond-Burton on the 18th.
