Football Recap: St. Paul Comes Up Short

St. Paul extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-5. They took a blow against the Blackstone-Millville Chargers, falling 37-0. The Knights lost against the Chargers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 36-26 score last time.

Joshua Chavoor threw for 55 yards on seven of 11 attempts. On the ground, Brayden Lizewski rushed for 37 yards.

As for Blackstone-Millville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2. The matchup marked their most dominant victory of the season.

Karson Cournoyer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 213 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 54 yards and one TD. Those 213 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Blackstone-Millville's leading receiver Nathan Oliveira was Cournoyer's top target yet again, picking up 96 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Paul will challenge Burncoat at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Blackstone-Millville, they will square off against Oxford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
