Soccer Game Preview: Andover vs. Maize South

Andover is 1-6 against Maize South since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Trojans will challenge the Mavericks. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Andover's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Rose Hill by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Maize South faced Andover Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Mavericks blew past the Jaguars 7-1. Maize South haven't had any issues with Andover Central recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Andover's record is now 2-4-1. As for Maize South, their record now sits at 6-1-1.

Andover couldn't quite get it done against Maize South when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
