Baseball Recap: Woodsville Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Woodsville walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Newmarket Mules on Saturday. Five seems to be a good number for the Engineers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The win made it two in a row for Woodsville and bumps their season record up to 14-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Newmarket, they moved to 12-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Woodsville nor the Mules have any future games scheduled.
