Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Jackson Academy

Jackson Academy hadn't done well against Sparta Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Jackson Academy Eagles blew past the Sparta Academy Warriors 46-26. The Eagles' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Despite the loss, Sparta Academy still got an impressive performance from Krisalyn Johnson, who posted eight points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.

Jackson Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Sparta Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Jackson Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Snook Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Sparta Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Patrician Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
