Aucilla Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Hamilton County as Aucilla Christian made off with a 13-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won four in a row.

Shaw Lundy and Caleb Walker made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Lundy struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Walker tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Lundy a new career-high. At the plate, Lundy scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Walker scored three runs while going 1-for-3. Lundy has become a key player for Aucilla Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, Aucilla Christian let Collin Campbell and Ben Gamalero run wild. Campbell scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Gamalero scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, Gamalero posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ethan Bass, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Jefferson County came up short against Franklin County on Friday, falling 16-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Aucilla Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Jefferson County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Aucilla Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Jefferson County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
