Harbor Beach lost to Cass City back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Harbor Beach Pirates snuck past the Cass City Red Hawks with a 44-39 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Pirates' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 83rd).

Harbor Beach is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points on average over those games. The loss snapped Cass City's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 22-3 record.
