Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Rauner

Rauner waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the UIC College Prep Firecats. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Firecats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Rauner who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 20-25, 25-21.

Rauner pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for UIC College Prep, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rauner is set to face off against their familiar foe Pritzker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, UIC College Prep will square off against rival Muchin College Prep at 5:03 p.m. on Wednesday.
