Softball Recap: Christ's Church Academy Wins Going Away Against Cornerstone Classical Academy

Christ's Church Academy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Cornerstone Classical Academy Spartans 16-3. Considering the Eagles have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Rylee Dynesius made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Molly Schneider, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Maddie Schnieder was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Christ's Church Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Christ's Church Academy moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Cornerstone Classical Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Christ's Church Academy will head out on the road to take on Harvest Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cornerstone Classical Academy, they will welcome Christ's Church Academy at 5:00 p.m. on April 7.
