Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Pepperell's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Pepperell won the last time they faced Temple and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dragons came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0.

Pepperell never let Temple on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-22.

Pepperell's offense was headlined by Hannah Smith and Piper Hillis, who picked up five kills apiece. Smith really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Vanesa Esqueda controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Pepperell is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for Temple, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-20.

Coincidentally, Pepperell and Temple will both be playing Whitefield Academy the next time they take the court. The Dragons will head out to face the WolfPack at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
