Baseball Recap: Scranton Prep Find Success

Scranton Prep hadn't done well against Abington Heights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Cavaliers blew past the Comets 8-0. For the Cavaliers, this counts as revenge for the 10-6 victory the Comets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Not much got past Johnny Petrosky, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Abington Heights off the board. Petrosky has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, AJ Croom was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Zack Scoblick also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Scranton Prep's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Abington Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
