Basketball Recap: Sergeant Bluff-Luton Comes Up Short

Sergeant Bluff-Luton lost to Lincoln back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors took a 68-50 bruising from the Lynx. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addie Naughton produced another solid performance shooting 52% from the field en route to 25 points along with seven steals and five assists for Lincoln. The contest was Naughton's seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Kamryn Hamilton was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton and Lincoln should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. The Warriors will face off against Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (153 vs. 334). Meanwhile, Lincoln (ranked 110th) will meet Sioux City North (ranked 245th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
