Baseball Recap: East Troy Takes a Loss

East Troy fell victim to Monroe and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 1-0 to the Cheesemakers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Trojans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Seth Lingford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

East Troy's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Monroe, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, East Troy will challenge Wilmot at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Monroe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
