Volleyball Recap: Mattoon Takes a Loss

Mattoon lost against Mahomet-Seymour back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greenwave took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10.

Zion Johnson paced Mattoon's offense, picking up four kills. Johnson got some help from Khloe Hall and her nine assists.

Mattoon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Mahomet-Seymour, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Mattoon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Tuscola on the 11th. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Mt. Zion on the 11th.
