Baseball Recap: Central Starts off Right with Win over Altoona

Central took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over the Altoona Mountain Lions. This was payback for the Dragons, who suffered a 7-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Wyatt Dilling, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Beltz, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Looking ahead, Central will host Clearfield at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th. This will be Central's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Altoona, they are taking a road trip to take on Bald Eagle Area at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
