Softball Recap: South Colonels vs. Doherty Memorial Highlanders

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to the Doherty Memorial Highlanders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to South of the 13-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

For Doherty Memorial's part, Frances McMahon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched.
