Basketball Recap: Manchester Township Takes a Loss

Manchester Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Toms River North Mariners and fell 79-52. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Mariners are ranked 98th).

Manchester Township's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Toms River North, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Manchester Township has already played their next matchup, a 69-56 loss against Manalapan on the 17th. Toms River North has also already played their next contest (against Red Bank Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
