Basketball Recap: Dixon Bulldogs vs. St. Elizabeth Hornets
Dixon was the 71-42 winner over St. Elizabeth when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Dixon Bulldogs fell just short of the St. Elizabeth Hornets by a score of 62-59 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Elizabeth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin Williams, who went 8 for 9 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The game was Williams' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Wobbe, who went 5 of 12 en route to 14 points and six assists.
Dixon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Elizabeth, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
