Archbishop Mitty waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats 3-0. The Monarchs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th.

Archbishop Mitty walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17, 25-16.

Archbishop Mitty's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Archbishop Mitty and Santa Cruz will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they will head out to take on Bellarmine College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
