Softball Recap: Eastlake Falcons vs. Franklin Cougars
Eastlake won the last time they faced Franklin and things went their way on Friday too. Eastlake came out on top against Franklin by a score of 9-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.
Ava Licerio made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Licerio was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Camila Tovar and Celina Estrada did most of the damage at the plate: Tovar scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Estrada went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Estrada has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Alexis Garcia, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
