Volleyball Recap: Hot Springs Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Belle Fourche last Thursday, Hot Springs came back down to earth. The Bison came up short against the St. Thomas More Cavaliers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Bison have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Hot Springs saw an underclassman step up: freshman Abby Simons had five aces and three digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Simons. Brynley Erickson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Hot Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for St. Thomas More, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Hot Springs has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Lakota Tech on the 25th. St. Thomas More has also already played their next contest (against Mobridge-Pollock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
