Baseball Recap: Hillsdale's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hillsdale extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 8-4 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Northwest Indians. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by just one run.

Kyle Turk was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Turk was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kael Lewis was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Brock Bower, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run.

As for Northwest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

On Northwest's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Kraft, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Looking ahead, Hillsdale will face off against Dalton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northwest, they will take on Triway at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
