Softball Game Preview: Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers vs. West Bend West Spartans

The Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers will take on the West Bend West Spartans at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Ripon. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Katie Brandt looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elizabeth Ehlke, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Charis Winkelman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.
