            Softball Recap: Yorkville Foxes vs. Lockport Porters        
        
		
        
        
            Yorkville extended their losing streak  to three  on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 17-11 in the process. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lockport Porters. Considering the last time the Foxes couldn't score was  back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.
As for Lockport, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.4 runs over those games.
For Lockport's part,  the result came thanks to  Kelcie McGraw's shutout, as she gave up just four  hits and racked up 15 Ks. McGraw has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 21 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Lockport's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Taylor Lane, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yorkville will face off against Oswego East at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Foxes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 8.2  runs per game this season. As for Lockport, they will challenge Homewood-Flossmoor at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Vikings will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last.
