Volleyball Recap: King Panthers vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Summer Creek Bulldogs, falling 3-0. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-11.

C'Ani Jones paced King's offense, picking up six kills. Jones got some help from Dawn Parrish and her 14 assists. Karen Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Summer Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. King is set to take on their familiar foe Humble at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Summer Creek will square off against rival Goose Creek Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
