Softball Recap: Westview Comes Up Short

Westview fell victim to Mountainside and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 15-0 to the Mavericks. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Mavericks: they've now lost four in a row.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Mountainside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Westview is set to take on their familiar foe Aloha at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mountainside will square off against rival Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mavericks 1.6, the Crusaders 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
