Basketball Game Preview: Hilltop Lancers vs. Horizon Prep Lions

The Hilltop Lancers will head out to challenge the Horizon Prep Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hilltop is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They secured a 35-29 W over Logan Memorial Education Campus on Wednesday.

Roman Miramontes was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (four). Ami Blea was another key player, putting up eight points and six steals.

Hilltop smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Horizon Prep hadn't done well against Liberty Charter recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Horizon Prep managed a 42-38 win over Liberty Charter.

Horizon Prep now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Hilltop, their record now sits at 7-12.
