Jefferson entered their tilt with Santee on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 25-14 margin over the Falcons. For the Democrats, this counts as revenge for the 14-11 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Valerie Echevarria made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Echevarria was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. Echevarria is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Jefferson got a massive performance out of Melanie Garcia, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and eight RBI. Another player making a difference was Samantha Estrada, who scored four runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Jefferson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .755. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Jefferson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Santee, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will venture away from home to face off against Diego Rivera at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson will need to watch out since Diego Rivera has now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups. As for Santee, they are taking a road trip to challenge Manual Arts at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
