It was a proper cat-fight when Hempstead challenged Weimar on Thursday. The Hempstead Bobcats came up short against the Weimar Wildcats, falling 7-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bobcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lane Demuth was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Jesus Aleman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Hempstead has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Weimar and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
