Volleyball Recap: Clayton Comes Up Short

Clayton lost against Pattonville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Greyhounds fell 3-1 to the Pirates. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Clayton couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-20, 19-25, 26-24.

Pattonville was led to victory by Madison Dunn and Jenna Cochran. Dunn had nine digs and two aces, while Cochran had 27 digs, nine blocks, and three aces. Those nine blocks gave Cochran a new career-high.

Clayton's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Pattonville, their record is now 14-15.

Clayton has already played their next match (against Visitation Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pattonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Kirkwood on the 13th.
