Basketball Recap: Alta-Aurelia Comes Up Short

Alta-Aurelia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Pocahontas Indians, falling 65-29. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Alta-Aurelia's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pocahontas, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alta-Aurelia will take on Kingsley-Pierson in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pocahontas, they will be home for the holidays to greet East Sac County at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Pocahontas knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully East Sac County likes a good challenge.
