Monticello is a perfect 8-0 against Watson Chapel since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Billies will square off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Monticello will be strutting in after a victory while Watson Chapel will be coming in after a defeat.

While Monticello's win against Hamburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Billies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Lions on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 14, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Blaine Hayden was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Watson Chapel's offense. They came up short against Warren on Tuesday, falling 11-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Lumberjacks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Watson Chapel's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Monticello, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12.

Monticello took their victory against Watson Chapel when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Billies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
