Peyton McAllister posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and only one walk). He is becoming a predictor of McCallie's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 9-17 when he doesn't).

McAllister's strong effort led McCallie over Webb and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans are limping into the matchup having lost three straight at home.
