Basketball Recap: June Berkenstock and Norah Berkenstock Secure Win for Hauser

Hauser's game on Saturday was all tied up 23-23 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 51-46 W over the Centerville Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jets.

Hauser was led to victory by Norah Berkenstock and June Berkenstock. Norah posted 16 points, while June had 12 points and five rebounds. Norah is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Abby Manley was another key player, putting up eight points.

When it comes to explaining why Centerville lost, don't look at Olivia Hunter. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 15 on her way to 21 points and eight rebounds. Hunter continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taelynn Swartz, who put up 11 points.

Hauser's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Centerville, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Hauser wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 42-37 win against Greenwood Christian Academy on the 26th. As for Centerville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian at 12:30 p.m. on January 3rd.
