Hidalgo waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their defense stepped up to hand the Zapata Hawks a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Pirates have won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hidalgo's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Zapata, Santa Maria, and Grulla. As for Zapata, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Hidalgo will square off against Grulla at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Zapata, they will head out on the road to take on Santa Maria at 6:00 p.m. on March 7th.
