Baseball Game Preview: Bakersfield Christian Eagles vs. Redwood Rangers

The Bakersfield Christian Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Redwood Rangers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Bakersfield Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Clovis North on Friday. They fell 4-1 to the Broncos.

Bakersfield Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karson Greer, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Redwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over Mission Oak on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rangers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Redwood's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Bakersfield Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Bakersfield Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Redwood in their previous meeting back in May of 2022, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bakersfield Christian since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
