Carson put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Los Altos Conquerors with a sharp 14-1 win. The Colts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

Carson got a great performance from Giselle Pantoja as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Pantoja has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Kayleigh Allen was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Ashannalee Titialii, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Carson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Los Altos only posted an OBP of .300.

Carson's record now sits at 5-0. As for Los Altos, they moved to 4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, it'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when Carson Colts take on Mira Costa Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Los Altos, they will host Nogales at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nogales has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.25 runs per game on average), something Los Altos will no doubt try to take advantage of.
