Basketball Recap: Ninety Six Wildcats vs. Abbeville Panthers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Ninety Six Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 49-21 win over Abbeville. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ninety Six.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ninety Six to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabby Hart, who almost dropped a triple-double on ten rebounds, nine assists, and ten steals. It was the first time this season that Hart pulled down eight or more rebounds. Janiyah Squire was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Ninety Six is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Abbeville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Ninety Six will be playing at home against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Abbeville, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rebels at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mid-Carolina presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in South Carolina (the Rebels are ranked 105th, while the Panthers are ranked 277th).
