            Softball Recap: Provo Bulldogs vs. Highland Rams        
        
		
        
        
            Provo had lost three straight at home, but  on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-15 to make it four. They came up short against  the Highland Rams, falling  25-14. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the  22-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2022.
  Tava'Esina Albert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  fired off two  home runs, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs while going 4-for-4.  Josie Castellanos was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
As for Highland,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 7-5. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 On Highland's side,  Makayla Eicholtz was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of her six plate appearances with four  runs. Those  four  runs gave  Eicholtz a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Norah Schriever, who  went 2-for-6 with five  RBI.
 Coming up, Provo will square off against Mountain View at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Bruins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.09  runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Highland, they will take on Skyline at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Rams will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last three matches.
