Crown Point won against Chesterton on Tuesday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Bulldogs beat the Trojans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Linus Chariton tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Crown Point saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Dunlap, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Crown Point's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Chesterton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.

Coming up, Crown Point will take on Homewood-Flossmoor at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chesterton, they will face off against Illiana Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
