Volleyball Recap: Glendale Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Glendale was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Williamsburg on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Bishop Carroll Huskies on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 25-13.

Despite the loss, Glendale still got an impressive performance from Rachel McClellan, who had 14 digs, 12 kills, and one block. McClellan is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Madilyn Skebeck was another key player, getting seven digs and six blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Kylee Newfield, who had 12 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six contests.

Glendale's loss dropped their record down to 12-12-1. As for Bishop Carroll, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-9-2.

Coming up, Glendale will head out on the road to challenge West Branch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Carroll, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Westmont Hilltop on the 7th.
