Mountain View and Riverbend are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Riverbend's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Mountain View was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Massaponax on Wednesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Riverbend came up short against Godwin last Wednesday and fell 6-2.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Riverbend, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Mountain View came out on top in a nail-biter against Riverbend when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
