Football Recap: Lakeview Centennial Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lakeview Centennial and Rowlett meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Patriots fell 17-7 to the Eagles. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Samuel Loera had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 76 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 159 yards on 14 of 27 attempts for Rowlett. 105 of Loera's passing yards were hauled in by Micah Pearson.

Lakeview Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Rowlett, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lakeview Centennial is set to square off against their familiar foe Garland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rowlett will take on rival Wylie East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
