Football Recap: Laredo LBJ Takes a Loss

Laredo LBJ entered their matchup against Eagle Pass on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wolves took a hard 24-7 fall against the Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 24-17 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

It was another big night for Xavier Barrera, who rushed for 58 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 130 yards and one TD while completing 73.3% of his passes for Eagle Pass.

Laredo LBJ's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Eagle Pass, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, Laredo LBJ and Eagle Pass will both be playing Alexander the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wolves will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
