Softball Recap: Caney Creek's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Woodlands, Caney Creek was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Cleveland Indians with a sharp 10-4 win. The match marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Madison Casper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Cori White was a standout: she scored two runs while going 5-for-5. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Izzie White was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Caney Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Cleveland will face off against The Woodlands at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday down 453 places (622 vs. 169). Caney Creek has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
