On Wednesday, Wossman faced Peabody in a battle between two of the state's top teams. In a tight match that could have gone either way, the Wossman Wildcats made off with a 62-61 win over the Peabody Warhorses. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats who have now won four games in a row.

Wossman has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Peabody, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-5.

Coincidentally, Wossman and Peabody will both be playing Franklin Parish the next time they take the court. Peabody will host Franklin Parish at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Wossman will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
